Tucker Annual Meeting Maui 2026
Presented by Hawaiian Club #44 Academy of RV Tucker Study Clubs
Welcome Message

Ted T. Kanamori
Chairman, ARVTSC 2026
Aloha and E Komo Mai!
Welcome to our beautiful island of Maui—a place, as Andreas Bien has said, that is truly healing. Our island has faced challenges, most notably the devastating wildfires in Lahaina and Kula (where I live). Yet through it all, the spirit of aloha has shone brightly, as the people of Maui came together to support and care for one another.
In many ways, our Tucker Study Clubs have experienced similar challenges. Club #44 has lost members—some through retirement, others when meetings shut down during COVID. But when the opportunity arose to host the ARVTSC Annual Meeting, our members from both clubs stepped up with enthusiasm and commitment.
We continue to hold deep respect for the legacy of Dr. Tucker, who personally attended our Maui meetings for several years. Our journey began in the early 2000s when we connected with members of Club #1, who faithfully visited Maui each November. Those exchanges between Hawaii and Vancouver, B.C. created lasting friendships and cherished memories.
We are grateful not only for those bonds, but also for the mentors who have guided our clubs in Hawaii. They have taught us not just restorative excellence, but how to grow as better human beings. A special Mahalo to Dr. May Chang who has spearheaded our planning for this meeting.
As hosts of the 2026 Tucker Annual Meeting, we are honored to extend our aloha to each of you. We hope you will join us in our Hawaiian paradise and share in the spirit of friendship, learning, and community that defines both Maui and the Tucker tradition.
Mahalo Nui Loa, (Thank you very much)
Ted T. Kanamori
